RIM reveals latest mobile gaming push for BlackBerry 10 operating system

BlackBerry manufacturer RIM has revealed a handful of games that are bound for the Playbook and its upcoming BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system, including games from popular studio Halfbrick.

Newsbrief: BlackBerry manufacturer RIM has revealed a handful of games that are bound for the Playbook and its upcoming BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system, including games from popular studio Halfbrick, while revealing a $10,000 incentive guarantee for developers. Anders Jeppsson, head of gaming at RIM, tweeted that Halfbrick will be bringing five of its games to the BlackBerry device and operating system, including critically acclaimed Jetpack Joyride. Sega will also bring its Sonic 4 series to the Playbook, while developers Fishlabs and Paw Print Games are also on board. The announcement comes as part of RIM's newly founded focus on the mobile gaming market. The company has also promised BlackBerry 10 developers at least $10,000 for any app or game that is released for the platform, and meets its terms and conditions, reports the BBC.
