Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order developer Respawn Entertainment will oversee the development of three new Star Wars projects.

Respawn parent company EA said it has entered a "new phase" of its relationship with Lucasfilm and has been given the go ahead to create a platter of new video games set in a galaxy far, far, away.

The fresh slate includes a sequel to Fallen Order, an "all-new Star Wars first-person shooter," and a Star Wars strategy game that will be developed in collaboration with newly-formed studio, Bit Reactor. Respawn will produce the latter project while Bit Reactor leads development.

Work has already begun on all three projects under the watchful eye of Respawn GM and founder Vince Zampella.
