Microsoft appears to have inadvertently revealed its E3 lineup ahead of the conference later today, including an announcement that
Halo 4 is on the way.
Information was displayed on the official Xbox.com E3 streaming page, showing a handful of upcoming releases, including
Kinect Star Wars,
which was revealed over at Entertainment Weekly yesterday, and the aforementioned
Halo 4.
Multiple websites
including weblog Kotaku have archived a screenshot, which states, "The news millions of
Halo fans have waited for:
Halo 4 is on the way."
Other titles set to be revealed are
Dance Central 2, a sequel to Harmonix's Kinect dancing title,
Kinect Sports Season 2, and
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, although it is yet to be revealed what this anniversary edition will include.
Halo: Reach was the last title in the franchise to be released by original developer Bungie, as 343 Industries has now taken over. However, in a recent interview with Gamasutra, 343 Industries'
Frank O'Connor noted that the two teams are still "friends, literally and allegorically."
