Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings the worldwide release of Rockstar's L.A. Noire and CD Projekt's The Witcher 2, while Europe gets Dead or Alive: Dimensions and No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending May 21st, 2011. Games Released in the United States: Rockstar's multiplatform crime drama L.A. Noire premieres this week in North America, along with other awaited titles like CD Projekt's action-RPG sequel The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Sega's Xbox Live Arcade racer Sega Rally Online Arcade, and a Virtual Console rerelease of Square's 16-bit RPG Chrono Trigger. Noire Nintendo 3DS: - SpongeBob Squigglepants 3D Nintendo DS: - Cake Mania: Main Street - Chess Attack PC: - Detour (online) - Fable III - Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition - The First Templar - The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Games Released in Europe: Team Ninja's Nintendo 3DS fighter Dead or Alive: Dimensions makes its English-language debut in the UK this week. Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie premieres as the region's sole DS offering, while PlayStation 3 owners get an enhanced version of Grasshopper Manufacture's No More Heroes. Nintendo Wii: - Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Xbox 360: - L.A. Noire PlayStation 3: - L.A. Noire - No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise Nintendo 3DS: - Dead or Alive: Dimensions Nintendo DS: - Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie PlayStation Portable: - Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus PC: - Alter Ego - Fable III - The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Games Released in Japan: Valve's first-person puzzler Portal 2 arrives as this week's only Japanese console release.
