Sony's PSP stormed ahead in the Japanese dedicated video game hardware sales charts this week, nearly outselling every other platform combined.
For the week ended May 1, the PSP took the top spot for the second week in a row, selling a total of 76,974 units, up 27,812 units since last week, according to data from tracking firm Media Create.
Every hardware platform saw a boost in sales besides the ill-fated PSP Go. The Nintendo 3DS sold 28,413 units, up 5,000 from last week.
Elsewhere, the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 all also saw increases in sales, with each receiving around 3,000 to 4,000 unit sales a piece.
