Heads up, game makers: The call for Mandarin and English submissions to present talks for the 2015 Game Developers Conference China is still open, but it closes this Friday, May 22nd at 23:49 PST.

Organized by UBM Tech Game Network, the 8th annual GDC China will take place in October this year, running the 25th to the 27st at the Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai, China.

As always, GDC officials are looking for leading industry practitioners to pitch lectures and panels with significant, applicable takeaways for today's video game community. Submissions will be accepted until Friday for papers on Game Design, Programming, Production, Business & Marketing, Smartphone & Tablet Games, and Independent Games.

GDC China continues to be the premier professional conference for the creators of games and interactive entertainment in Asia. Chosen speakers can join the world's leading developers to exchange ideas, be inspired, and to further advance the business, knowledge and technology behind game creation in Asia.

GDC China 2014 also hosted the 6th annual IGF China awards, recognizing a number of laudable titles like the colorful casual strategy game and Best Game Winner King's League: Odyssey as well as Best Student Game winner Looking, a sound-based survival thriller.

Registration for GDC China 2015 itself is expected to open later this month. For more information on the event, please visit the official conference site.
