The PlayStation Vita's launch titles sold approximately 300,000 software units combined in the first weekend on sale in Japan, according to tracking firm Media Create. Sony's PS Vita launched in Japan last week on December 17, and sold just over 320,000 units, compared to the 3DS's weekend launch of 371,326 units last February. As translated by Andriasang, software sales over all the PS Vita's launch titles topped 300,000 units, giving the console an attach rate of 0.92 for its opening weekend, compared to the 3DS's launch weekend attach rate of 0.95. However, Media Create noted that its sales figures do not take digital downloads into account, and given that numerous titles are available to download for the console, this means that the attach rate will no doubt be higher. Ten PS Vita titles managed to climb into the top 50 games charts in Japan last week, with Hot Shots Golf 6, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Dynasty Warriors Next and Lord of Apocalypse featuring in the top 20. The ten games, along with their positions in the chart, are as follows: 07. Hot Shots Golf 6 08. Uncharted Golden Abyss 18. Dynasty Warriors Next 19. Lord of Apocalypse 22. Disgaea 3 Return 28. Ridge Racer 30. Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru 43. Dream Club Zero Portable 44. Katamari Damacy Novita 50. Shinobido 2
