French independent game developer Arkedo Studios will bring its trio of retro-themed console digital games to Sony's PlayStation Network on the PlayStation 3.
The three titles --
JUMP,
SWAP and
PIXEL! -- will be published through a partnership with France's Sanuk Games, which released released
a video highlighting the deal.
Arkedo is notable for being among the few developers to openly speak positively about its experiences making games for Microsoft's Xbox Live Indie Games service. While its venture ultimately
wasn't profitable, the studio didn't lose money either, and said that the exposure it got through the service led to some work.
"In a nutshell, it's all about having your studio being noticed by gamers, and help it appear on the industry radar," studio owner Camille Guermonprez wrote of its experience.
The studio previously developed
Nervous Brickdown and
Big Bang Mini for Nintendo's DS, as well as the Windows Phone 7 title
OMG: Our Manic Game.
