Offworld Industries has acquired Canadian developer Redstone Interactive for an undisclosed fee.

Offworld, which is the studio behind first-person shooter Squad, has previously worked with Redstone in a publishing capacity on WWI shooter Beyond the Wire.

Redstone CEO Bruno de Araujo will continue to oversee the studio post-acquisition as creative director, and will report to Offworld Industries CEO, Vlad Ceraldi.

Commenting on the deal, Ceraldi said the purchase is a "natural evolution" of Offworld's close partnership with Redstone.

"Beyond the Wire is a gorgeous game made by a passionate team and we are happy to be adding it to our line-up while continuing to both support the ongoing development of the title and further success of the team," he added.

Redstone will continue supporting Beyond the Wire, but said it now has the resources to work on "engaging new projects" in the future.
