Gamasutra has learned from friend and colleague Dana Hanna that Jesse Bright, a programmer at Hidden Path Entertainment who worked on projects such as Age of Empires II: HD Edition and Counter-Strike: GO has passed away. More details are available in this Reddit post.
"Jesse was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him," Hanna told Gamasutra.
Bright is survived by his son Evan, and there's currently a GoFundMe page seeking donations to fund Evan's education. A memorial service is planned for the developer on April 1 in Seattle.
