Newsbrief: 3D graphics company Nvidia has launched a new GPU technology that promises to help reduce latency with streaming video games. This tech, dubbed the GeForce Grid cloud gaming platform, aims to help streaming game companies like Gaikai and OnLive deliver their games to remote consumers more efficiently. The platform captures and encodes game frames in a single pass, allowing the data to reach players much faster. With this new technology, Nvidia claims it can reduce latency with video game streaming to as little as 10 milliseconds. Nvidia has already partnered with Gaikai to implement the GeForce Grid GPUs in the company's game streaming network.
