Nintendo has completed the list of 10 downloadable NES titles that will be freely available to 3DS early adopters as part of the 3DS Ambassador program, following
the system's recent price drop.
The newly announced titles include a mix of some of Nintendo's best-known and most obscure first-party NES releases:
Metroid,
NES Open Tournament Golf,
Wrecking Crew,
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and
Yoshi.
Those titles come in addition to
Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and
The Legend of Zelda, which were
announced alongside the Ambassador program late last month.
3DS Ambassadors will also receive ten downloadable Game Boy Advance titles, five of which have been revealed so far:
Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames and
Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
Unlike the NES titles, these Game Boy Advance games will not be available to non-Ambassadors for individual purchase from the 3DS eShop at a later date.
All ten NES titles will be available to Ambassadors starting September 1, with the Game Boy Advance downloads reportedly coming before the end of the year. All 3DS owners who signed in to the 3DS eShop on or before August 11 are automatically eligible for the free downloads.
