Nintendo has delayed the launch of its upcoming Advance Wars remaster following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

In a brief statement, Nintendo of America said it will be delaying Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp "in light of recent world events."

The remaster had been slated to release on April 8, 2022, but will now launch further down the line.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp includes remastered versions of the first two games in the series, and asks players to secure victory in digital conflicts by capturing enemy towns and bases using military machinery, forces, and weapons including tanks, helicopters, and warships.

Nintendo told fans to "stay tuned" for updates on a new release date.
