New Hampshire indies team up to build a local game dev incubator

A group of New England indie developers are working to open Game Assembly, a co-working space and incubator program for game developers in Manchester, New Hampshire.
New England game makers, take note: A group of your colleagues are working to open Game Assembly, a co-working space and incubator program for game developers in Manchester, New Hampshire. It's part of a larger effort to grow the game development community in New Hampshire, and those responsible include David Carrigg (Retro Affect), Alix Stolzer (Robot Loves Kitty) and Neal Laurenza (Skymap Games). The launch of Game Assembly is being funded in part by a four-year $2.5 million federal grant from the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, but the founders hope that local companies will also sponsor the initiative in order to further mitigate the cost of Game Assembly programs. They include traditional co-working space benefits like providing rotating desk space for developers, as well as an incubation program for students starting game companies and a planned series of public presentations, events and game jams. Developers who are interested in joining the program when it launches can do so through the Game Assembly website.
