Every other week, Gamasutra examines the most popular Facebook games according to monthly active users, looking at the top titles and developers on the social network to see who's attracting or losing players. The two biggest games on Facebook, both Zynga titles unsurprisingly, have continued to see rapid audience growth -- ChefVille now has 57.1 million users compared to 46.7 million two weeks ago, while Zynga Slingo now has 51.4 million players versus 46.7 million two weeks ago. Based on those two titles alone, it would seem that everything in Zynga's garden is rosy, but another recent release from the developer's lineup is losing users at just as quick a pace. The Ville, the second most popular game on the social network just two weeks ago with 37 million users, has dropped to #5 after shrinking to 26.2 million. Other Zynga titles in the top ten Facebook Games Leaderboard don't seem to be suffering the same violent fluctuations. Texas HoldEm Poker, Bubble Safari, FarmVille, and CityVille might have lost or gained a few hundred thousand to a million players, but for the most part their audience numbers haven't changed too much. As for non Zynga games in the top ten, Wooga's Diamond Dash, FreshPlanet's SongPop, and King.com's Bubble Witch Saga have all added several hundred thousand monthly active users each, and haven't budged from their placement on the charts since two weeks ago. You can see the full list of the top 20 Facebook games along with exact monthly active user counts below:
