Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has shipped 2 million units worldwide in under a week.

The expansion launched on June 30, 2022, for Nintendo Switch and PC and tasks players with taking on three colossal monsters in a new overseas kingdom.

Capcom has suggested the free Sunbreak demo it rolled out ahead of launch was a significant factor in helping the expansion hit the ground running.

The Japanese publisher also noted that Monster Hunter Rise has surpassed 10 million shipments since launching in March 2021, and indicated the wider Monster Hunter franchise is in good health.
