Microsoft confirms departure of PC games evangelist Jason Holtman

Former Valve executive Jason Holtman has left Microsoft after spending just over six months working to make Windows a better platform for PC games and entertainment.
Newsbrief: Jason Holtman has left Microsoft roughly six months after being hired by the company to make Windows a better platform for PC gaming and entertainment. “We can confirm that Jason has left Microsoft and we’re grateful for his time at the company," stated a Microsoft representative when pressed for comment. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors.” Holtman was brought on expressly to make Windows a better place to play games -- "I will be focusing on making Windows a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment," is what Holtman said when he joined Microsoft. Before his brief stint at Microsoft, Holtman worked at Valve for nearly eight years, where he handled Steam content licensing and served as a key point of contact for developers.
