Majesco will publish a follow-up to its 2006 movie licensed action-adventure Jaws Unleashed, the company announced Thursday. Called Jaws: Ultimate Predator, the new title is being developed for Nintendo's Wii and 3DS systems by Tectonic Studios (Suze Orman's Money Game) and n-Space (the DS iterations of the latest Call of Duty and James Bond titles), respectively. The games are set 35 years after the events of the first movie, according to Majesco. They are being executive-produced by Microprose, the name of the licensing acquisition company founded by former Atari Interactive CEO Frederic Chesnais, which was formerly known as Interactive Game Group. It is related to the development studio that produced Civilization, X-COM and Railroad Tycoon in name only. "The Jaws movie defined a generation and forever changed our perception of sharks," said Majesco Entertainment CEO Jesse Sutton. "Sinking your teeth in as the ultimate predator is a strong and compelling concept underlined by the performance of our best-selling Jaws console games years ago." Both versions of the game are expected to be released this fall.
