Majesco, publisher of the wildly popular Zumba Fitness series, recently announced that it has partnered with toy-maker Hasbro to create a Kinect-enabled version of the classic party game Twister. Unlike the original game, this new title will abandon Twister's iconic mat and spinner, and instead will be played using only the Kinect sensor. "This is using your full body as a game piece," says Majesco chief marketing officer Christina Glorioso. Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton told Reuters that with this new title, the company hopes to prove that its success with Zumba Fitness is more than a fluke, and that the company can find success with a range of motion-based titles. "Investors right now just look at Zumba, but Twister is definitely one of the products we see as a major potential hit," Sutton said. Majesco announced that the game will be available for Xbox 360 on November 1, 2011. Earlier this year, Majesco revealed plans to expand its efforts in the social gaming space, starting with key acquisitions from social game developer Quick Hit.
