Finnish-Russian mobile game developer Panzerdog has raised a total of €800,000 (~$959,000) through Russian internet giant Mail.ru’s recently established games investment branch.

The funds come as Panzerdog is in the process of developing and running a closed beta for its first title, a competitive mobile shooter called Tacticool. In a press release, the studio noted that the money raised will go to finishing development of the game and helping it reach into international markets following its release.

In addition to the sizable investment, Panzerdog will also receive support and additional resources from Mail.ru as per the terms of its 'Games Ventures' program. With this, Panzerdog has also become the first game studio to benefit from Mail.ru’s fledgling program.
