Newsbrief: Konami announced today that its former U.S. president Shinji Hirano has now taken on the role of European president for the company.
In his new position, Hirano will oversee the company's core games strategy in Europe, as well as its social games and its trading card business. He will be based at Konami's European Headquarter in Frankfurt, Germany, working closely with the company's branch offices in London, Paris and Madrid.
Hirano takes over the role from original president Kunio Neo. There is no word as-of-yet as to whether Neo will continue in a different role at the company.
