Indie distro platform Itch.io has a plan for the future

Itch.io is leveling up its services, has announced a partnership with Finji to be the first and only platform to sell the anticipated Overland. Co-founder Amos Wenger shares the details of the site's plans.
"If we exclude stuff that's not artsy, that's too long, that's too expensive, that doesn't look like a Danish collective made it, you know, then we're excluding people that might be doing interesting stuff and we don't want to do that. We want the platform to be useful to everyone."

- Itch.io co-founder Amos Wenger

Itch.io is leveling up its services, has announced a partnership with Finji to be the first and (so far) only platform to sell the anticipated Overland, and generally dramatically grown since it launched as an unassuming indie game platform.

In a new interview at ZAM, co-founder Amos Wenger shares the details of the changes the site has seen in recent times, plans for the future, and details about the Finji partnership.

It's well worth a read if you're interested in the indie-friendly Steam alternative and the thinking that goes into keeping it so distinct -- and increasingly successful.

You can read the full interview at ZAM.
