HTC has lifted the lid on its own virtual reality accelerator program, which will see the company invest $100 million in order to "cultivate the VR industry."

As reported by VR Focus, the new initiative will be rolled out first in Beijing, Taipei, and San Francisco, and will be launching under the name "Vive X."

According to new information on the HTC website, the accelerator will give developers the chance to mingle with VR experts and fellow creators at networking events, link up with specially selected mentors, pick the brains of virtual reality "thought leaders," and secure investment with the help of venture capitalists.

Successful applicants will also receive administrative help and advice from HTC's accounting, finance, human resources, and legal teams.

Those interested can apply for the Vive X program right now.
