German online games publisher Bigpoint today announced plans to open regional offices in both the UK and France, with the aim to more successfully promote its games portfolio across Europe.

German online games publisher Bigpoint today announced plans to open regional offices in both the UK and France, with the aim to more successfully promote its games portfolio across Europe. The company said that it will hire just over a dozen staff between the two new offices, which will be located in capitals London, England and Paris, France. The Paris branch, which will oversee business partnerships in France and Italy, is headed by Cedric Genin (pictured), who has 15 years of experience in the video games industry, including head of games for French mobile company SFR. The London division is being led by Paul Raven, previously a marketing consultant for various British firms including TV company ITV and Shine Group. Bigpoint also said in a statement that it will be opening Spanish and Italian offices in the second quarter of this year. Most recently, the company revealed that it has over 250 million registered users across all of its free-to-play online titles.
