Developers, take note: the organizers of GDC are working to put together a great, forward-thinking session lineup for GDC Next 2014 featuring ADC this November. Today, they're excited to share details on two new App Developers Conference talks that will take place at this year's conference and emphasize one of its most important themes: addressing the problem of how developers can responsibly design and monetize their games and game-related apps in a sustainable, ethical manner. GDC Next and ADC, which aim to highlight practical ways for developers to increase the creative and financial success of their projects, are taking place simultaneously on November 3rd-4th, 2014 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year, Sequence creative director AJ Keifer is giving an ADC talk about second-screen experience design that should hold learnings for the developer community at large. Titled "Designing a Co-Viewing Experience: Finding the Balance Between Two Screens," Kiefer's presentation aims to give developers a clearer understanding of how co-viewing applications work, tips for how to design a second-screen user interface that doesn't distract people, and suggestions for generating content that enhances, and doesn't distract form the primary viewing experience. Meanwhile, mobile strategist Mike Mace is coming to GDC Next to lead a session on solving common mobile shopping issues. This is notable, because it's in a developer's best interest to make it easy for their prospective players to purchase a game directly from their website; that's hard to do if your shopping page isn't mobile-friendly. Those who attend his talk, "Mobile Conversion is Broken: How To Fix It With Smart Design," can expect to benefit from Mace's experience in learning what makes shopping on mobile devices unique and tricky, what most app developers do wrong, and how they can approach the design of their storefronts from a mobile-friendly perspective. Of course, conference organizers look forward to announcing many more interesting talks in the months before this year's GDC Next featuring ADC, which takes place November 3rd-4th, 2014 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
