The organizers of Europe's Gamescom conference have revealed the winners of its best in show awards, with Electronic Art's
Battlefield 3 receiving a unanimous vote as the top game of the show.
A jury of "national and international media, press, and trade representatives" also awarded EA Best Online Game honors for
Star Wars The Old Republic, as well as Best Console Game, for
FIFA 12 and a newly-introduced Best Browser Game award for
The Sims Social.
Sony also made a mark on the awards, getting Best Hardware or Hardware Accessories recognition for the PlayStation Vita and Best Mobile Game honors for the Vita's
Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
