Games as a service company PlayFab raises $7.4 million
Playfab, a cross-platform tool provider to enable games to better operate as service, has secured further funding.

Newsbrief: Playfab has raised a further $7.4 million in Series A funding, led by Benchmark.
The other new investor is Madrona Venture Group, and both join previous investors Startup Capital Ventures, Barney Harford and Jason Kapalka, co-founder of PopCap Games.
Playfab launched last year to provide cross-platform tools and services to build and operate games as a service. Spanning mobile, PC and console games. There are currently over 160 games in development using its tools.
