UK-based racing game studio Eutechnyx has appointed Dirk Weyel, former co-founder and COO of Berlin-headquartered MMO publisher Frogster Interactive, as a non-executive director and member of the board. Weyel has over 14 years of experience in the industry, having joined Psygnosis Germany in 1998, and going on to co-found games agency 4-Real Intermedia, before co-founding Frogster. The move comes as Eutechnyx looks to launch its free-to-play online racing game Auto Club Revolution worldwide later this year. Weyel will aid the company in establishing publishing operations for the game globally, with a London publishing branch opened just months ago. The company also revealed that it has hired 21 new team members in the last six weeks, and plans to hire more over the coming months. Eutechnyx also has a number of other games due to be released this year. Ride to Hell is an adventure game developed in collaboration with Dead Island creator Deep Silver's Vienna studio, while Eutechnyx is also working with racing simulation specialist Brain in a Jar to work on a "key project" in 2012.
