Telltale Games has found its next CEO in the form of former Zynga exec and Red Robot Labs co-founder Pete Hawley.

A longtime game industry veteran, Hawley has spent time as everything from the head of production at Lionhead Studios to, recently, the senior vice president of games at Zynga. His resume includes roles at Electronic Arts, Criterion Games, Sony Computer Entertainment, and GT Interactive spread across the past 20 years.

Hawley will replace current CEO Telltale co-founder Dan Connors, who stepped into the position six months back after the departure of fellow co-founder Kevin Bruner. Following that, Connors will remain on the board and take on an advisory role with the company.

"We created Telltale because we saw a huge opportunity in bringing together world class storytelling and video games," said Connors in a statement. "It has succeeded beyond our expectations but it's just the tip of the iceberg. I am truly excited to add Pete's leadership and experience with innovation as we take the next step in the evolution of our products."
