Newsbrief: Casual games startup Seriously announced this week that it has wrapped up a recent round of funding after raising a total of $2.65 million from both extant investors Upfront Ventures and Sunstone Capital as well as new backer Daher Capital. Seriously was founded by Rovio and Remedy expats last November with $2.35 million in seed money, bringing the company's total funds raised to roughly $5 million. Seriously maintains offices in both Helsinki and Los Angeles, and plans to launch its first "casual plus" game for mobile devices later this summer.
