Fall Guys reached 20 million players within 48 hours of its free-to-play relaunch. Developer Mediatonic broke the news on social media and thanked the community for their support.

Fall Guys initially launched as a premium title in August 2020 but last year Mediatonic announced the title would be pivoting towards the freemium model after the studio was purchased by Epic Games.

The company made good on that promise last week, launching the "Free For All" update to bring the bumbling battle royale platformer to players for free on platforms including PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store.

Notably, the change also resulted in the game being delisted on Steam, meaning it's now an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.
