Newsbrief: Last year, Second Life developer Linden Lab acquired digital distribution service Desura in a surprise move. Just over a year later, Desura has once again been acquired. This time around the buyer is Bad Juju Games, a middleware tools developer. The company says that it will be able to offer features such as leaderboards, achievements, cloud storage, player stats and profiles to developers and players on Desura. Linden Lab, meanwhile, explained that it has let go of Desura as it looking to build "the next generation of virtual worlds," and Desura does not fit into that vision.
