[Gamasutra rounds up the week's biggest news in the console digital download world, this week highlighted by Jeremy McGrath's Offroad, Burn The Rope and the Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection.]
This week saw an iPhone developer announced an offroad racing title for both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, while another iPhone developer revealed it would be bringing one of its most popular titles to WiiWare.
There's also a special
Mortal Kombat pack on the way too, featuring a number of classic
MK titles.
Read on for the latest in console digital download news for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare.
Jeremy McGrath's Offroad Announced (PSN, XBLA)
2XL Games, whose recent credits include a variety of
racing iPhone titles, has announced that they're working to bring
Jeremy McGrath's Offroad to the Xbox live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Outside of the name, and that it's being published by Reverb Publishing on PSN and D3Publisher on XBLA, we don't know much about the game.
But you'll be expecting some offroad racing, I suspect. 2XL previously developed
BAJA: Edge of Control for retail, so something a little like that.
Burn The Rope Coming To WiiWare (WiiWare)

The quite popular iPhone puzzler
Burn The Rope is on its way to the WiiWare service, according to a new additional to the ESRB game rating database.
For those who have yet to play the game, you can
check it out here. How the turning mechanic will work on a stationary Wii screen is anybody's guess, but I'd wager it'd have something to do with tilting the Wii Remote.
Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection Announced (XBLA / PSN)
With the shutting down of Midway brought a lot of their previously popular XBLA and PSN games off of the shelf, notably
Mortal Kombat II and
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Now that Warner Bros. have the rights to the titles, and with the recent release of
Mortal Kombat 9, they've decided to release wholly new digital versions of Mortal Kombat in a "Kollection".
The Kollection will feature
Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and all for 800MSP / $9.99, which is an absolute bargain.
The package is being developed by Other Ocean, who previously worked on bringing
Ultimate Mortal Kombat to the Nintendo DS, and all three games will be playable online.
It's a great deal, and I hope that we can expect more collections coming forward from Warner Bros, assuming they own most of the Midway IP.
