Apple rejects The Binding of Isaac due to depictions of violence towards children

An iOS port of psychological-horror shooter The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been rejected by Apple due to its depiction of violence towards children.

An iOS port of psychological-horror shooter The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been rejected by Apple due to its depiction of violence towards children.

Isaac publisher Nicalis had previously hinted that an iOS port might be in the works, saying it was "looking into" the possibility.

It seems those plans are on hold following the rejection, which was sent out despite the fact Apple has previously allowed titles such as Limbo - which also depicts graphic violence towards children - onto the App Store.

Calling the iPhone creator out on Twitter, Nicalis founder Tyrone Rodriguez posted a screenshot of the rejection notice.

According to Apple, Isaac was knocked-back because it "contains content or features that depict violence towards, or abuse of, children, which is not allowed on the App [Store]."

We've reached out to Rodriguez to find out how, if at all, he plans to challenge the dismissal.
