Social game firm 6waves Lolapps has unveiled new publishing terms promising $100,000 in marketing to mobile game developers, and has announced 16 partnerships it's already secured with mobile studios. These new terms build on 6waves Lolapps' efforts to aggressively grow its mobile games business, expanding its reach beyond Facebook. Last September, it created a $10 million fund for distributing, marketing, localizing, and hosting games from mobile and social partners. The Hong Kong-headquartered company began realizing its mobile plans late last year by releasing iOS titles like Yeti Town and Splode. It then acquired the developer behind those titles, Dallas-based Escalation Studios, in January. To build additional momentum for its mobile push, 6waves Lolapps says it's now guaranteeing $100,000 in launch marketing spend to developers that it partners with. If it fails to spend that amount within two months, it will relinquish the game and future revenues back to the studios. 6waves Lolapps has also called attention to the 16 new mobile game developers from all over the world that it's already partnered with:

  • 42 Games, Hong Kong

  • August Impression, China

  • Big Blue Bubble, Canada

  • Brainz Games, Colombia

  • Harebrained Schemes, USA

  • iLogos, Ukraine

  • KOD Games, China

  • Leiyou, China

  • Mindstorm Studios, Pakistan

  • Oxyful, China

  • Playviews/Xigantic, USA

  • Shiny Shoe, USA

  • Signus Labs, Russia

  • Sixits, USA

  • Winlight, Japan

  • xKey Media, USA

"It feels great to be making this announcement in time for GDC," says 6waves Lolapps business development executive director Dan Laughlin. "We look forward to meeting mobile developers at the show who are working on games that we can make hugely successful on the 6L publishing platform."
