Getting noticed in today's crowded game landscape is increasingly a worry for independent developers. How do you stand out?

There's a tremendous amount of information on this out there -- but it can be incredibly confusing to try and follow all of the suggestions; Twitter may have its flaws as a communication medium, but it does force brevity and clarity of thought, and the tweets embedded below at the very least serve as both food for thought and a quick primer on how you should be thinking about getting your game noticed.

Have any tips of your own? Feel free to share them in the comments below.

Remember, if you're interested in participating in these conversations in the future, make sure to follow @Gamasutra on Twitter. The questions usually go out on Fridays in the late morning, Pacific time, alongside Tweets of our regular news, blogs, and original writing.
