Newsbrief: Social game developer Supercell is the latest studio to see huge revenues from its mobile endeavors, as the company has stated that it is currently grossing over $500,000 a day from two releases.
The Helsinki, Finland-based studio, which earlier this year
adopted a "tablet-first" mobile strategy, told the New York Times that
it earns $350,000 a day in revenue after Apple has taken its 30 percent cut from sales of
Hay Day and
Clash of Clans -- roughly translating to $10.5 million each month. (Before Apple takes it cut, that figure reaches $15 million in gross revenue.)
By comparison,
NaturalMotion recently stated that its iOS game
CSR Racing is pulling in around $12 million in gross revenue each month.
