LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has sold through 3.2 million units worldwide in two weeks.

According to publisher Warner Bros. Games, the milestone represents a launch sales record for the series, with the title surpassing all previous LEGO console game launches.

The game launched on April 5, 2022, for platforms including Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The Skywalker Saga had a troubled production according to recent reports, with over 30 current and former employees at developer TT Games telling Polygon that the studio's handling of the LEGO titles has been marred by crunch, mismanagement, and sexism.

The report, published in January this year, suggested that culture of endemic mismanagement and misconduct caused burnout and hindered production, causing the multiple delays that eventually saw the title pushed back to 2022 -- having initially being slated to release in October 2020
