Majesco Entertainment has revealed that Zumba Fitness, its popular fitness title for Nintendo Wii, has surpassed 3 million sales worldwide. The news comes as the title topped the UK all-platforms game charts for the eighth consecutive week, marking its 11th week at the top overall. The game is also the top-selling fitness game available in the U.S.. The company also noted that the upcoming sequel, announced in May and in development by Chime's Zoe Mode, will feature commercial artists this time around such as Pitbull and Nicole Scherzinger. Zumba Fitness 2 is set to be released for Nintendo Wii in November, with a release on a second platform in early 2012. Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton noted, "The Zumba Fitness franchise of video games connects the exhilarating Zumba dance workouts loved by millions with uniquely interactive console platforms that are accessible and fun for consumers of all ages." Fitness and dance games are currently selling in spades, with Ubisoft revealing yesterday that its popular dance game Just Dance 2 has now surpassed 5 million sales at U.S. retail.
