Virtua Fighter social spin-off game launches in Japan

Newsbrief: Sega today released a mobile social spin-off version of the Virtua Fighter beat 'em up series in Japan via social gaming network Mobage. Virtua Fighter Cool Champ is a playing-card battle game that features characters from the Virtua Fighter franchise. Players can build up their decks of cards, then face off against computer opponents and friends online, reports Andriasang. Arcade game creator Yu Suzuki is overseeing development of the game with his studio Ys Net, while Sega is supervising the project. The game launched today, and is free-to-play with in-app purchases.
