The Last Of Us lauded once again, with 10 BAFTA nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts today announced the nominees for its 2014 video games awards, with The Last of Us leading the nominations by a long shot. The awards aim to honor the most well realized and innovative games across all realms of the industry, from browser games to traditional AAA development. The Last of Us is up for a total of 10 awards, including awards for Best Game of 2013, Artistic Achievement, and Audio Achievement. Notably, the game received a double-nomination in the Performer category, as both Ashley Johnson (voice actor for the game's Ellie) and Troy Baker (voice actor for Joel) received nominations. It would appear that 10 is Naughty Dog's lucky number, as the game won 10 awards at the DICE awards just last week. Grand Theft Auto V is also looking to pick up multiple awards, with nine nominations, while Media Molecule's Tearaway is up for eight BAFTAs.
