Newsbrief: Namco Bandai announced this week that Tekken 7, a new title in the long-running fighting series, is being built using Unreal Engine 4. The company says that the engine allows for more rapid development of the series on next-gen platforms, while also allowing for easier cross-platform production. It's a notable move for the Tekken franchise, as Japanese fighting games usually make use of their own proprietary graphics engine, rather than third party engines.
