Splatoon 2 has sold 671,000 copies within three days of launch in Japan, making it the region's best selling Switch title to date.

As reported by Gematsu (via Famitsu), that number also means the ink-drenched shooter just had the biggest debut for a Switch title in the console's short history.

What's more impressive is that the figure doesn't even include digital sales, although it does factor in download cards, hardware bundles, and (of course) physical game sales.

Splatoon 2 released on July 23, meaning there wasn't any concrete sales data hidden in Nintendo's latest financial report for the three months ended June 30.

Those financials did, however, reveal the Switch has sold 4.7 million units in under four months, along with a smorgasbord of other sales information for the system's growing software lineup. It's well worth checking out, and you can do just that by clicking here.
