RuneScape 3 brings an additional 300K players to the 12-year-old MMO

Newsbrief: When the Jagex team launched the latest version of RuneScape in July, the hope was that presenting the update as a brand new game to potential new players would lead to more people giving the long-running game a chance. Just over a month later, and it would appear that said tactic has had the desired effect. More than 300,000 new players have joined RuneScape over the last month, Jagex said today. And the sizable update has also attracted plenty of past RuneScape players back to the title, as just over 100,000 former players have now re-activated their accounts.
