Double Eleven, the Middlesbrough, UK-based studio behind the PS Vita installment of LittleBigPlanet, has branched out into publishing. The studio says that it is looking to market and distribute titles from other indie studios for the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita, as well as continuing work on its own releases. "Amazing independent games are available for the PC, iPhone and Android markets, but are missing out on the huge 100 million strong PSN membership," says the company in a statement. Notably, however, Double Eleven says that this exclusive focus on PSN releases for both its own games and its published titles may change in the future. The company does not mention whether it is still developing titles exclusively for Sony platforms as part of a deal with Sony from 2011. Gamasutra has contacted the studio to clarify. [Update: Double Eleven has confirmed to Gamasutra that it is still part of its deal with Sony that says it must develop titles exclusively for Sony platforms.]
