Gears of War producer joins Irrational to finish Bioshock Infinite

We recently learned that Bioshock Infinite developer Irrational Games had lost two of its major directors, and now Epic veteran Rod Fergusson has joined the studio to help get its highly-anticipated title out the door.
Just yesterday, we learned of some major staff changes at Bioshock Infinite developer Irrational Games. Two top directors have left the studio, and now Epic Games' director of production, Rod Fergusson, has stepped in to help the studio get its highly-anticipated title out the door. Fergusson confirmed on Twitter today that he's left Epic to join the Boston-area Irrational, and Kotaku reports that the he'll be filling the gap left by Tim Gerritsen, who previously served as director of product development for the upcoming Bioshock sequel. Fergusson has played a key role in a number of Epic's most recent titles. For instance, he previously served as senior producer on Gears of War 2 and executive producer on Gears of War 3. In addition to losing Gerritsen, Irrational also recently said goodbye to Nate Wells, a major art director and a 13 year veteran of the Take-Two-owned studio. After acknowledging Well's departure, Irrational head Ken Levine said Bioshock 1 veteran Scott Sinclair is "back in the art director's chair" for Bioshock Infinite. While Bioshock Infinite was announced back in 2010, Irrational has kept quiet about the game for quite some time. The title was absent from this year's E3, and will not be on display at next week's Gamescom trade show. Previously set for release on October 16, Irrational recently announced that the game has been pushed back to February 2013.
