German social game studio InnoGames reportedly doubled its revenue in the U.S. this year and hit a record high of $100 million in annual revenue worldwide as it began porting its browser games to mobile devices. Going forward the studio -- perhaps best known for producing browser-based strategy and economic sim games -- plans to pour more resources into mobile development, shifting focus in a less drastic fashion than when Kabam sold its social games to RockYou and doubled down on mobile games back in September. "It is our goal to further conquer the mobile games market in 2015," stated InnoGames CEO Hendrik Klindworth in a press release touting the company's success."This is where we see the biggest potential for growth." While InnoGames has been porting its browser-based games to mobile for some time, 2014 was the year the company saw its first major mobile hit with Forge of Empires. That game generated remarkable revenue for the company and drove InnoGames to lay plans for expansion that include a slate of new hires and a new studio in Dusseldorf.
