EA Sports' FIFA 12 held on to the top of the UK software sales charts for the second week, holding off new releases from the likes of Bethesda Softworks and Namco Bandai. From the week ended October 8, data from tracking firm ChartTrack shows that sales of the latest in the football game franchise dropped 68 percent compared to last week. Yet the game still ranked 13th in the all time weekly unit sales ever tracked. id Software and Bethesda Softworks' Rage was left to take the second spot, while From Software and Namco Bandai's Dark Souls settled for third place. Xbox 360 exclusive Gears of War 3 continued to sell well, dropping down two places to number four, with a 65 percent drop in sales compared to last week. Elsewhere, the usual suspects filled the rest of the top 10, with the likes of Zumba Fitness, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean and Dead Island refusing to budge. Below are Chart-Track's all-platforms sales charts, which include unit sales of all versions of a given title, and the individual platform charts, which treat individual SKUs separately. Dark Souls didn't fare as well, taking positions six and seven lower down the charts. The PS3 version outsold the Xbox 360 version, no doubt due to the original being available only on PS3. 1.
