The last-man-standing battle royal title Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has smashed through yet another sales milestone to sell 10 million copies, just under six months after its launch into Early Access this past March.

This latest achievement comes just weeks after Bluehole, the Korean studio at the helm of the game’s development, announced that the game had passed 8 million sold meaning the Early Access title has moved roughly 2 million copies in those weeks alone.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has been steadily climbing the charts since it first appeared on PC around five months back, both in terms of copies sold and concurrent players. At the end of July, PUBG dethroned Fallout 4 to become the most concurrently played non-Valve game on all of Steam.

Just one month later, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds briefly eclipsed Dota 2’s concurrent players to become the most active game on the platform at the time with over 877,000 players. Now, maybe a week after that, Bluehole lists Battlegrounds peak player-count at 970,000 as the game’s rapid growth brings it closer and closer to Dota 2’s all-time peak player record of 1.2 million.

Each of these milestones has come to pass as while the game both only on PC and in Early Access, though Bluehole does currently have plans to bring the game to Xbox One later this year through the platform's game preview program and later as a full release in early 2018.
