Newsbrief: Valve Corporation has announced that Portal 2 has sold more than 4 million copies across consoles and PCs since the first-person puzzle-platformer released a year ago. With this new figure provided to Neogamr by Valve level designer David Sawyer, the Portal franchise has now sold over 8 million copies total. Shipped in 2007, the original Portal game has moved more than 4 million units, not including copies sold on Valve's Steam service. Valve boss Gabe Newell previously told Gamasutra that the Windows and Mac versions of Portal 2 sold more than its Xbox 360 and PlayStation editions. The company revealed this latest sales information today as it released a new update for Portal 2 that includes a level editor.
